The majority of Meg's work is based around the beautiful land, sea and skies of North Norfolk, where she has lived all her life. Her customers comprise both private and corporate collectors from the UK and internationally, they include the Bank of England.
''My journey began when I was a child spending much of my time on the cliffs at Cromer, Norfolk drawing and painting my findings gathered that day. There was, however, one defining moment when I became simply captivated by birds; I had been watching wrens which had nested deep in a bush very near the cliff edge.
These tiny birds were constantly flitting back and forth feeding their young, however, one day when I went to watch them there had been a substantial cliff fall which had included the thicket that the wrens were nesting in. I climbed and slid down the cliff (not allowed now!) to see what had become of the tiny birds and their young and was amazed to find that although the nest was at an angle and about half way down the cliff toward the beach, the parent birds were still feeding their young.
This was a defining moment in my life and I have been enthralled by birds ever since.''

"Painting is my way of life - without it there is no story or dream, no poetry or moment"
